Hardly a “worst” album despite its ranking on this list, Adrenaline was and is a worthy debut for the Deftones, introducing the world to one of heavy music’s unique voices. there is no bad deftones song if you listen to it at the right time in the right enviroment.

Worst Hypothetical Deftones Setlist I saw a post like this on the Nine Inch Nails sub and I was curious what people would post here. i'd go with .. .. pink cellphone..i guess, The only thing that comes to mind is aniversary of a very boring song (aniversary of an uninteresting event). If I was just ranking the released based on how cohesive each of them are this would easily be up there in the top 3. Back when it first came out I would listen to it constantly to the point where I am burnt out on it years after. I firmly believe Deftones has achieved "BALANCE" on this release. If I took out a song on the album and listened to it alone it is good in its own merit but listening to it in the context of the album really gives it a huge boost.

This album was my introduction to the band back in 2015 before Gore came out and I liked it but I wasn't blown away by it.
It just flows so well and has well executed transitions throughout the whole album. Figured i wanna know more of r/deftones opinions. If Gore started my interest for the band then this album 100% solidified them as one of my all time favorite bands. Album wise it is just a compilation of songs and I just pick and choose the ones I like usually instead of listening to the whole album.

Believe it or not this is was got me truly into Deftones. This is a pretty decent release.
Side note: Only the 9 official releases will be included in my list. It is by no means bad or unlistenable and has good tracks on the album like "Cherry Waves" but this would easily be the last Deftones album I would choose if I had to pick one to listen to. After I had listened to Gore I listened to this and I was absolutely blown away. Their sound would develop and change as the years go by.
Just like with Self Titled it impressed me more and more as time went on. The title track is a huge example of this. This Place Is Death: The most forgettable song and it's a closer. That's part of why their later albums hold up so well.
The scenario is that you bought tickets for Deftones and they come out playing the worst possible setlist they could play. It was not the first album I tried though (Around the Fur).

Song wise they have some excellent tracks on here. It changes by the hour, lol, but overall I feel it represents my tastes. But that's it, all other songs they've ever made are brilliant. After listening to this album countless times I can confidently say there isn't any track on here that didn't deserve a spot on the album.
