Toyota has placed recalls on the brake master cylinders of 2000 Echos because they could leak brake fluid or allow air in. like redliner said, we would see soon some new numbers, the goal is to hit 12's on street tires. I would hope that is 2 zero's too many, otherwise I could purchase a a T-sport, have it gutted and tuned by TRD in to some phat 3 litre monster or the like. Those cars are really light for a four door. It's so wrong. But around back the legendary air-cooled flat-6 has been replaced by Toyota's 1NZ-FE engine. The 1NZ-FE engine features a lightweight aluminum block and aluminum cylinder head with two overhead camshafts (DOHC) and four valves per cylinder (16 in total). Which is why I'm so disturbed how much I like it. That swap would give the car right about half the original engine size and about 150 less HP, minimum. No one will take you seriously at meets and on the road, until you pop your hood or zoom pass them!
