I think the Turks have raised their game a bit to be competitive and I see the quality going up also.
I would personally take the Girsan over the Berretta and I would also take the Canuck 1911 over much more expensive 'american made' 1911's. The quality is identical to the Girsan Regard which is a Turkish knock off of the Berretta 92fs. I bought the combo trap Canuck and am generally pleased with it .

The Canuck Regulator/Defender combo is a non-restricted, 12 gauge, pump action shotgun made in Turkey. At a certain point it isn't worth it anymore dealing with the inevitable flood of warranty issues.
This shotgun is proven, made for the Canadian shooter. Nice wood and fit/finish is awesome.

Thanks for the feedback, this has really put my mind at ease about buying one. It's kind of funny that people espouse the practicality of adjustable stocks and picatinny rails on 'tactical' guns, but someone puts it on a shotgun and all the sudden we make fun of it.
I put the choke in the lathe and polished the outside a bit then using a piece of fine emery paper on a arbor, i polished behind the threads in the barrel. There’s a couple reviews kicking around on YouTube of the Canuck Commander, sentry looks like it’s the same weapon just with the longer barrel and tube mag. Ohhh that makes sense!

I they were actually Canadian made, weren't ugly with a stupid name, mostly forged parts than I would consider buying one. I've been eyeing one for 3 gun because apparently they're 8+1 in 3" but 9+1 in 2.75". I'd buy one too, but I absolutely hate the word. Yea for something cheap it looks decent so I might end up with it. The fit and finish is perfect. I would personally take the Girsan over the Berretta and I would also take the Canuck 1911 over … How about compared to the classic Mossberg 500? But then maybe that was before your time :-).
